An explanation of the movements and placements in this week’s Explorer tier list.

A Tier
Azorius Control (Up from B) — According to our data, more people are playing this deck, which combined with its consistent win-rates has led us to move this archetype up to A tier. We are looking forward to seeing if next week’s addition of Supreme Verdict will influence an even higher rate of play and whether or not it will match Rakdos Midrange’s power level next week.
B Tier
Jund Food (Down from A) — Contrary to Azorius Control, Jund Food has seen a general downtick in win-rate this week, presumably due to the uptick in control decks that are packing Farewell, a card that Jund is notoriously weak to.

B Tier
Sultai Rigging (U from C) — Similar to its change in the Best-of-Three tier list last week, Sultai Rigging has seen an increased play rate and has kept a respectably high win-rate of 65% as the deck continues to climb.
Esper Greasefang (Down From A) — While Esper has kept a respectable win-rate this week, it has seen a large decline in people playing it over the last two weeks when compared to the other A tier decks. It might be the case that Mardu has begun to cement itself as the main version of Greasefang in the higher ranks for Explorer Best-of-One matches.
